Give Your Wallet a Jump Start

Ever feel like there is never enough money to make it through a month? Ever feel like no matter how hard you work, you never seem to be able to get ahead? If you answered yes to either of these questions, you are not alone.

Millions of Americans are faced with these same dilemmas everyday as our nation experiences one of the worst savings rates in national history! Whether it is simply needing to get your finances in order, or fulfilling a class obligation for your bankruptcy proceedings, New $tart for Financial Success can help you! This class is a two-hour class that will help you sort through your financial obligations, review or start a budget, balance your income and expenses, find ways to save money, get resources to help reduce costs, and avoid getting ripped-off by predatory lending!

To find out about class offerings, contact the Extension office at 937-440-3945 or read more about how the class can help you. Please note that this class is open to the public but is a Department of Justice-Approved Program for pre-discharge financial education.

Castleberry Food Recall

A recent recall of Castleberry Food products has many concerned about the health of those who might come in contact with these products. One of the major concerns is for our elderly population who may have purchased these foods or received these foods as part of a community food distribution program. If you know of an individual who may have these products on their shelves, please let them know of this important recall. If you are a caregiver or family member of someone that is aging, we ask that you take a few moments to review their pantry shelves for the recalled items and have them removed. For detailed information about the recall and the items that you are looking for, please visit http://www.fda.gov/oc/opacom/hottopics/castleberry.html.
